This online session will outline the EU’s fla gship programme for research and innovation ‘Horizon Europe’ and show why it is important that the EU and the Gulf Region enhance their R&I coop eration. During the session some concrete collaboration opportunities offe red under the Horizon Europe Work Programmes 2026-2027\, launched mid Dece mber 2025\, will be presented as well as the modalities of participation. Speakers will present the programme’s structure\, explain how internatio nal partners can participate\, and highlight selected call topics relevant to partnership between the EU and the Gulf Region\, with a particular emp hasis on sustainability and the green transition\, as well as health and A I.
